Last month on April 8th, we investigated a house fire in Gig Harbor where two males were found deceased with gunshot wounds. Today, our SWAT team and Special Investigations Unit made an arrest on a 25-year-old male, putting an end to this long investigation.
This morning at 9:06am, a 25-year-old male suspect was taken into custody for the death of his 64-year-old father and 31-year-old brother. The motive behind the double homicide is still being investigated. There are no other suspects outstanding.
We want to thank the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as well as the Pierce County Fire Marshal, since they played a huge role in this investigation. We also want to thank our SWAT team, the Special Investigations Unit, the detectives, and all the community members that stepped forward with tips on this case.
The 25-year-old male has been booked into the Pierce County Jail for two counts of murder in the 1st degree and one count of arson in the 1st degree.
