Someone had seen his post on Facebook and said the stolen trailer had been parked at the residence. On the property, deputies located a fifth-wheel RV, a flatbed utility trailer, and an enclosed trailer. The trailers had been stolen from Pierce County, Selah, and Longview (respectively). Deputies also found 12 car batteries, which the dealership manager claimed were stolen during the trailer theft. While deputies were investigating, the resident arrived home. The 38-year-old male was arrested, and deputies located three firearms in his car. He is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was booked into jail for possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm. The trailer stolen from the RV lot was not located on the property and deputies believe it was recently moved.

Eluding Police, Possession of Stolen Property, DUI
15200 blk Pacific Ave S, Spanaway
A patrol deputy pulled up next to a car at a stop light and saw that the female driver was smoking methamphetamine. When the woman saw the deputy, she immediately sped away. The deputy turned on his lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop for DUI, but the woman kept going. Since DUI is a pursuable offense, the deputy continued to follow her. He attempted a PIT maneuver, but the woman used a specific technique (known only to people who elude police) to reduce its effectiveness. A second PIT attempt was successful in disabling the vehicle. The 32-year-old driver was arrested and transported to the hospital for a blood draw. At the hospital, she told the deputy that she “knew” police were not allowed to chase people, as long as they drove fast. She was booked into jail for DUI, eluding, and possession of a stolen vehicle.
