Reckless Endangerment, Stolen Firearm
12900 blk Silver Dr, Anderson Island
Incident # 24-097-00743

Deputies were dispatched to a residence for a report of shots fired during a domestic disturbance. When the first deputy arrived, a witness told her that she heard gunshots and then saw four to six adults yelling at each other in front of a vacation rental. She said one of the subjects got into a white truck and drove away. The deputy drove to the ferry terminal and located the truck. According to one of the occupants, her family had rented the home where the shooting occurred. She said her boyfriend was upset at how a 6-year-old child was behaving and he ended up in an argument with the child’s father. This grew into a larger family argument and the boyfriend pulled out a gun from his waistband and fired five to six shots into the air. Deputies recovered the gun from the truck. A records check revealed that it had been stolen in Federal Way. The 20-year-old suspect was booked into jail for possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a pistol by someone under 21, reckless endangerment, and aiming/discharging a firearm.

DUI Arrest, Eluding
10500 blk Sales Rd S, Parkland
Incident # 24-098-00034

Deputies were dispatched to a drive-thru coffee stand after an employee reported that a running vehicle had been parked in the drive-thru lane for the last 30 minutes. When deputies arrived, they found a female driver passed out behind the wheel of a pickup truck. When they peeked inside the truck, they found a mostly empty wine bottle on the woman’s lap. They placed stop sticks under the tires in case she woke up and tried to drive away. As a deputy reached inside the open window and turned off the ignition, the woman woke up. She provided deputies a name, which turned out to be fake. A deputy asked her to step out of the vehicle, but she started the engine instead. She accelerated quickly, nearly striking a deputy. The truck hit the stop sticks and one of the tires immediately deflated. She drove around the building, nearly hitting a WSP vehicle head-on. A deputy used a PIT maneuver, which was successful. The driver then got out of the truck and fled on foot. Deputies quickly caught up and took her into custody. The 25-year-old driver was transported to the hospital for medical treatment and a blood draw before being booked into jail for DUI with a prior conviction, eluding, obstructing, resisting arrest, driving without an ignition interlock device, and driving with a suspended license. She also had two misdemeanor warrants.
