#1 Suspect Disables Cameras to Burglarize Home
On July 11 at approximately 7:00 a.m., a homeowner called to report that he observed a male prowling around his property and residence on his surveillance cameras. The surveillance footage captured the suspect disabling all of the cameras and provided a clear description of his appearance. As the responding deputy arrived in the area, he observed a male matching the suspect’s description and initiated an investigation. After speaking with the suspect, the deputy established probable cause for his arrest. During a search incident to arrest, burglary tools were found inside the suspect’s bag. The 32-year-old male was booked into jail for residential burglary and possession of burglary tools.
#2 Dog Falls Down 40 Foot Cliff, Rescued by Deputy
On July 8th, a dog fell 40 feet down a cliffside in the 23600 block of Rim Rd. E in Graham, while chasing a rabbit. A nearby resident could hear the dog in distress and called for help. Our trained Search and Rescue Ropes Team was dispatched and hoisted a deputy down to the dog. The deputy made it down to the dog, and the dog was overjoyed. The deputy was then pulled to the top while valiantly carrying the dog in his arms. The owner could not be located, and the dog was taken to the Tacoma Humane Society for the time being. We later learned the dog’s name was Nico and she was relocated with her owner the following day. We are glad Nico was ok, and reunited with her family. We hope she will be more careful chasing rabbits in the future.
