Today, we honor an extraordinary career as Corrections Deputy Rachel Yelle and her partner, K9 Rebel, begin a well-earned retirement.
For 42 years, Rachel has faithfully served the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office with unwavering dedication, compassion, and professionalism. As one of our longest-serving Corrections Deputies, she has touched countless lives through her commitment to serving others. Her leadership, kindness, and tireless work ethic have left a lasting mark on this Office and everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her. For the past 8 years, Rachel and K9 Rebel have been an incredible team. Together, they have served with loyalty, trust, and an unbreakable bond, making a meaningful impact within our Corrections Facility. While it’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has dedicated so much of herself to this profession, we couldn’t be happier to see Rachel begin this next chapter. After 42 years of selfless service, her retirement is more than well deserved.
Rachel, thank you for pouring your heart and soul into serving this Office and our community. Your legacy will continue to inspire those who follow in your footsteps. As Rachel and Rebel trade long shifts for leisurely days, we wish them nothing but happiness, good health, and countless adventures together. We know these next years will be some of the very best.
