Detectives located 38 shell casings behind the apartment during the investigation. Three different calibers of ammunition were used in the shooting. Based on information gained during the investigation detectives believe the this is a gang related incident. It is still unknown if the 15 year old boy was the intended target in this shooting. The second person who was reportedly shot has not been located or identified.

At 8:45 p.m. on Saturday March 19th, South Sound 911 dispatchers received multiple calls of shots being fired at the Heatherstone Apartments at 10408 19th Ave Ct S. Deputies arrived on scene and found a 15 year old male deceased inside an apartment. Several people said a second adult male had also been shot and left in a vehicle.
Detectives and forensic investigators are currently on scene to talk to witnesses and document the crime scene.
There are no suspects in custody at this time. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Department.
