Last night was not too bad Pierce County. Unfortunately, not everyone played by the rules. Here are some of the major calls from last night.
K9 TRACK- Deputies responded to a protection order violation at a home in Graham at around 8pm. The man was at his mother’s home in violation of a court order. He attempted to kick the door in and refused to leave.
Upon arrival deputies did not locate the man but requested assistance from K9 Brix and his handler to help track down the suspect.
Brix sniffed out the suspect and found him hiding in the wood line just beyond the yard of the residence. After Brix contacted the suspect, he was taken into custody by our deputies. The man was taken to the hospital and then booked into the Pierce County Jail for a Court Order Violation and Attempted Residential Burglary.
PARTY CALL- At 02:27 am Deputies also responded to an unruly part in the 8000 block of 115th St Ct E. Deputies were responding to calls about fights breaking out at the party and as they were heading that way dispatch updated the call saying multiple shots were being fired. Deputies arrived on scene along with Puyallup Police and saw people fleeing the party. When they checked the area, no victims from the shooting were found and there were no shell casings discovered. The party was dispersed, and the owner was referred to the prosecutor’s office for Maintaining or Permitting a Nuisance.
KIDNAPPING- Early this morning at around 05:00 am deputies responded to the area of 112th St E and Canyon Rd E for a welfare check. A man said he received a text from his brother saying a man was threatening to kill him if he didn’t take him where he wanted to go. Deputies responded to the area and were able to locate the victim and suspect at a gas station at 112th St E and Canyon Rd E.
Deputies were able to detain the suspect without incident and learned the victim had agreed to give the suspect a ride home, but he threatened him after he couldn’t find the apartment he was supposed to be dropped off at. Deputies booked the 44-year-old man into the Pierce County Jail for Kidnapping in the 1st Degree. The 37-year-old victim was uninjured in this incident.
