On March 25th at 4:15am, deputies were dispatched to the Cedar Crest Apartments in Parkland for a shooting. Multiple callers reported shots fired and a male victim down. When deputies arrived, the scene was chaotic with bystanders screaming and running around. Deputies attempted life saving measures on the 32-year-old male but he was pronounced deceased.
Deputies found shell castings littered all over 108th St. S and the front yard area of the apartment complex. Welfare checks were completed on the residence of the apartment complex and no other victims were located. The suspect is outstanding, and it is unknown what altercation led to the shooting. Detectives and forensics are on scene interviewing, gathering video and processing an abundant number of castings.
