Deputy Involved Shooting

On December 29th at 2:01 am, deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 8500 block of 156th St. Ct. E in the Puyallup, South Hill area.  The reporting party stated the man in the vehicle had earlier fired a shot outside their home. When deputies arrived, they located the vehicle with the male asleep inside. Deputies spoke with the victims and established probable cause for felony harassment. Deputies attempted contact with the male inside the vehicle, and shortly later, called out shots had been fired. Deputies attempted life-saving measures prior to Fire arriving, but the male was later pronounced deceased. No deputies were injured. The Pierce County Force Investigation Team will take over this investigation, which is standard procedure for any officer-involved shooting.
