The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with an ongoing investigation. We are seeking surveillance or doorbell camera footage showing vehicles or individuals traveling through the Deer Creek Apartments near Building 3 on Saturday, July 4, 2026, between approximately 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
During that time, a male victim was followed on foot by two unknown suspects after entering the Deer Creek Apartments from 112th St. E. The victim was then violently assaulted near Building 3 and left on the sidewalk. The victim remains at a local hospital in critical condition.
If you have surveillance footage, dashcam video, or any information related to this incident, please contact the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office or submit any available evidence. Even if your footage does not appear to show the assault itself, it may capture individuals or vehicles that are important to the investigation.
