September 11, 2001, changed our nation forever. Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless first responders who answered the call in the face of unimaginable tragedy. For some of our own Pierce County Sheriff’s Office staff, September 11 wasn’t just something they watched unfold on television, they were there.
