This afternoon, at 1:16 p.m., our Mountain Detachment deputies were notified of a brush fire in the 35900 block of Allen Rd S. They responded to the scene and started going door-to-door notifying residents. South Pierce Fire crews quickly contained the fire and kept it from spreading. The Pierce County Department of Emergency Management sent out a PC ALERT to affected residents.
