Officer Involved Shooting

On October 12th at 12:12 pm, deputies responded to a domestic violence call with a weapon at the 12600 block of 106th Ave. Ct. E in Puyallup. When deputies arrived, multiple shots were being fired from the home, and a 45-year-old female had escaped the house through a window. Surrounding homes had to be evacuated. Deputies attempted to negotiate with the male inside the home, but several shots continued to be fired from inside.

At 12:32 pm, deputies reported shots had been fired, and immediately later, the suspect came out and was compliant. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for his wounds. His status is unknown at this time. No deputies were hit in the gunfire, and the female and two children are safe.

The Pierce County Force Investigation Team will be taking over the investigation from here.
