Did You Get Pulled Over?

A huge shout out to the Puyallup Police Department, Tacoma Police Department, Lakewood Police Department, and Fife Police Department for their outstanding partnership during our recent traffic enforcement emphasis.

Together, these agencies conducted approximately 300 traffic stops along some of Pierce County’s highest-risk roadways for excessive speeds and serious collisions, including Spanaway Loop Road South, the Military Road South/152nd Street South area, 198th Avenue East, 304th Street East, east-west Graham-area roadways, SR 7 (Mountain Highway East), SR 161 (Meridian Avenue East), Kapowsin Highway East, and Orville Road East.

These corridors continue to experience some of the county’s highest rates of speeding and traffic collisions, making focused enforcement a critical tool in improving roadway safety and preventing serious injuries and fatalities.

Thank you to every officer who dedicated their time and effort to this emphasis. Your teamwork and commitment are helping make our roads safer for everyone who lives, works, and travels in Pierce County.

Slow down, stay alert, and help us all get home safely.
