Strongarm Robbery
27800 blk Mountain Hwy E, Spanaway
Incident # 24-062-00247

Mountain Detachment deputies were dispatched to a strongarm robbery that had just occurred. When they arrived, the 70-year-old victim told them that he had been working on fixing a gate when three unknown males pushed him down and stole his $750 generator. He got in his car and followed them for a short distance. The victim was only able to provide vague descriptions of the suspects and their car.

Illegal Firearms Possession
1600 blk 97th St E, Midland
Incident # 24-064-01005

Deputies were dispatched to a domestic altercation involving a firearm with shots fired. When they arrived, the victim told them that her husband was experiencing fentanyl withdrawals and fired a shot into the air. Deputies contacted the husband as he was getting out of his car, but he denied he had a firearm. They looked inside his car and saw a gun on the floorboard in plain view. The 38-year-old suspect is a convicted felon and has already been convicted of unlawful possession of a firearm. He was arrested and booked into jail for unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree.

Puppy Theft
13100 blk Meridian E, South Hill
Incident # 24-062-01431

A deputy was dispatched to a theft that had just occurred at a pet store. When he arrived, an employee told him that she was assisting two customers, who had an appointment, in viewing a French Bulldog puppy. One of the men grabbed the puppy, put it in his jacket, and fled the store. According to the store, the puppy is valued at $5,400. We are working with the store to obtain surveillance video.

Aggravated Assault
9100 blk 191st St E, South Hill
Incident # 24-063-01910

Deputies were dispatched to a residence for a disturbance involving 10-15 people. When deputies arrived, several individuals ran to a minivan and fled the scene. Deputies spoke with the victims and remaining witnesses. They learned that a 13-year-old female resident had been invited into a group chat. The conversation escalated and threats were made against her and her family. A large group of people arrived at her house and began yelling for her to come outside. The girl’s father and brother tried to de-escalate the situation, but the suspects assaulted them and pointed at least one gun at them. Their friends were heard yelling, “shoot him,” and the two men had red laser dots on their backs. A 21-year-old male was arrested and booked into jail for assault in the first degree.
