Over the Weekend 4-27-26

#1 Felony Harassment Arrest

On April 26th, around 1:30am, deputies responded to the Ellyson Apartments in Parkland for a male subject who made threats to shoot the victim. It was reported that the male was acting “off” and after making the threats, the suspect grabbed an unknown item and shoved it in his waistband. When deputies arrived, they heard an altercation in the parking lot. This involved the same male who made the threats earlier. The deputies went to detain the male, and things escalated quickly, leading to a struggle on the ground with a firearm involved. The suspect had a loaded gun in his right pocket and did not want to turn over.

Once in custody, deputies later learned the 35-year-old male was a convicted felon and was not supposed to have firearms. During a search incident to arrest, a bag of meth was located in his left pocket. The gun was seized as evidence. He was booked into the Pierce County Jail for felony harassment, resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

#2 Stabbing This last incident occurred on April 26th, around 7:00pm, when multiple callers reported a male had been stabbed in the parking lot of the La Perla Del Mar Mexican Restaurant off Steele St. S. When deputies arrived, they located a 38-year-old male with multiple stab wounds, and the suspect had fled the scene. Deputies administered aid until Fire arrived. The male remains in critical condition. There are no suspects in custody at this time, and this is an active investigation.
